I want to take a moment and Thank Happy Tails Travel for making the re-location of my cats from Oakland, California to Morrisville, North Carolina so effortless. Jennifer at Happy Tails was awesome at providing a sense of ease about what seemed to me to be a very confusing process. Her calm confidence helped lift some of the stress and anxiety of this move, a rare find during a cross country move.

My move process was not typical in that, originally, we were leaving California without a solid place to call home on the other side of the continent. My fiancée and I were going to live with her family until we could find a place of our own but, we couldn't bring our cats. Turns out we got an apartment before we left CA and Happy Tails called me with several different flight options making it easy to pick a time that was both convenient and cost effective for me but also convenient for my family in CA. Jennifer had no problems working with me as the dates shifted and working with my family in California to make sure they had everything they needed to get the cats on the plane while I was driving across the county. The sister taking care of my cats gleefully called me while I was on the road to revel in the amazing organization of the travel packets. She said that each section was paper clipped together, color coded with sticky notes, so that she knew exactly what to do with each piece of paper and that she felt confident in just walking in to the airline and handing over the paperwork. Her only complaint was that she wished the day before the flight call to check that everything was in order would have been two days before the flight.

For my sister, that is high praise as she generally has very high standards, especially when it comes to animal care. As it turns out, that call saved the day because the carriers we got came with plastic wing nuts and they had time to go get metal nuts to replace them before the flight. Happy Tails included that requirement in the information packets but we missed it. Now, I'm sitting here in my new furniture-less apartment (because my furniture movers aren't nearly as awesome as Happy Tails) with my fiancée and cats. I couldn't be happier with Happy Tails and completely recommend them to anyone thinking about moving pets. That was by far the best money I've spent in a long time. So, Thanks Happy Tails for holding our hands and metaphorically pinning notes to our shirts throughout the process we're very happy to have the family re-united and grateful to you all for making this part of the move absolutely stress free.

Dear Happy Tails,

Our family has been going through major changes through the unexpected death of my mom who had been married to my dad for 58 years. It is said that the most significant changes a person can go through is the death of a spouse, moving and retirement. My 80 year old dad is going through all of the above in addition to suffering from Parkinson's and being very fragile. Our mom had requested that if she died, that my sister would adopt their Westie, Kiko. Needles to say, we have and are also taking our dad with us.

I am bringing my dad to the States on Thursday, August 11th. We are making so many decisions every day, dealing with our parents finances, trying to sell properties, dealing with painfully difficult tenants, closing a lawyer practice of 45 years, etc We are trying to provide the smoothest transition for him and trying to keep him away from the insanity of it all.

That's where you came in. I soon realized that I wasn't going to be able to deal with a walker, a wheel chair, a dog, a crate, and my dad's worries. I contacted several agencies and got estimates around 800, 1,200 and others that told me they wouldn't work in San Juan. I was very surprised to get your call and appreciated your sensitivity and understanding of our situation. (Not to mention that that day I had been cancelling cell phones and accounts of my mom And when I told one of them that the account was of a dead person, they did not want me to cancel the phone and was encouraged to purchase further services.) I was relieved to leave Kiko's travel to somebody else, because I could not deal with the stresses of sending him away without knowing how to go about it.

The people from Continental were phenomenal and treated both Kiko and my dad very gently and professionally. Your instructions were clear and to the point - I can't handle much else these days. I appreciated the attachments with all the information. The packet was very well prepared, clear, and very nicely done. It certainly helped to reduce the anxiety that we had over Kiko's travel. It shows you work hard in providing high quality service to your clients, a trait very much appreciated in today's world. Your passion for the welfare of animals shows.

I needed to have Kitty, my Siamese cat, flown from New Mexico to Florida very quickly (as in, less than a week!). With the summer coming on, most airlines had already entered a blackout period where flying pets would be difficult if not impossible due to the heat. I had never arranged travel for a pet before, and was feeling overwhelmed and worried I couldn't make it happen. I contacted Bridget with Happy Tails Travel, and she swooped in to save the day (and Kitty!). She was able to find a series of flights the same day that I first contacted her, and created a plan and set of instructions that made it almost effortless on my part. On the day of Kitty's big move, there was a bad delay on the first flight, such that Kitty would not be able to make the connecting flight. Once again, Bridget saved the day by finding a different flight that would still get him there at approximately the same time as the original flight, and handled the arrangements with nothing more from me than a quick phone call to let me know what was happening. I couldn't have asked for better, quicker, and more friendly service, and would recommend Happy Tails Travel to anyone looking to relocate their pet(s). I can tell that Bridget truly has a passion for animals, and does everything she can to ensure a safe, low-stress, and successful trip for your furry loved ones!

Faced with having to move our 4 year old Jack Russell Luna from Coral Springs, Florida to be reunited with our son in Las Vegas, Nevada, we had really no clue how to do this. Herriot has settled into life in England very well and so has Google who is now partly an outdoor cat. The staff at BA in Chicago were fantastic. We could not believe how good they were.

We asked if they could let us know when the animals were on the plane and the man came in person to tell us before we got on the plane. At London things also went well and it took 3 hrs from landing to when we left with the animals. I came back to Nebraska and thought I could just take Cleo with me underneath the plane but found out I couldn't with some airlines because of her breed. I can, without hesitation, recommend Happy Tails Travel to anyone interested in safely transporting their beloved pet. And here is why:

My daughter, Kerrie, a United States Naval Officer stationed in San Diego called me (at my home in Maryland) four days before her ship was to leave on a major deployment to the Middle East. Her husband was suffering a major medical issue and was not going to be able to stay in San Diego for his recovery and would not be able to care for Kerrie's beloved cat, Pepper. Any military person knows the incredible amount of angst that a major deployment instills. When you add a major medical crisis for a spouse, it could become emotionally overwhelming.

Kerrie asked if we would take Pepper and of course we said yes, then she asked if we would help her get Pepper from San Diego to Maryland. All with only four days before her ship was to depart. I immediately went on line checking with the airlines on pet transport. Just trying to figure out the process was daunting and untenable. Luckily I kept searching and came across the Happy Tails Travel website. The information was helpful so I decided to fill out their contact form. I also took the advice on the website and called them immediately after the form was submitted. Mind you, this is Thursday evening, and Kerrie's ship was leaving the next Monday.

A nice young lady, Jenna, answered the phone and I explained the situation. She retrieved the contact form, explained the process, answered some of my questions and, by the time we hung up I had the strong feeling that I was dealing with a professional operation, with a staff that knew their jobs and most importantly they cared about the safe transport of our daughter's pet.

Within minutes I received their contract. Early the next morning I printed it out, signed it and faxed it back to Jenna. She began the process within minutes. She called my daughter, she called me, she emailed me and my daughter. I also received a call from Bridget, Happy Tail's President, to make sure everything was proceeding to my satisfaction. By 5 pm. Friday Jenna sent us Pepper's flight information which was scheduled for the next day as well as everything else we needed to get Pepper on the flight and to pick her up.

At 9 am P.S.T., Pepper was safely on board a Continental Airline flight from San Diego to Washington National. We picked her up at 8 pm E.S.T. and by 10 pm we had her home to join my wife, me and our two cats, Puma and Fritz, to patiently and proudly wait for Kerrie's return from her tour of duty.

So, as I wrote earlier, I can, without hesitation, recommend Happy Tails Travel to anyone interested in safely transporting their beloved pet. Thank you Jenna, and thank you Happy Trails.

After my own initial stress following notification of a quickly approaching army deployment to Iraq, my thoughts quickly turned to my two cats and how I was going to get them across country when I would not be able to accompany them. Disappointment followed when my veterinarian could provide no leads to a reputable organization to provide such a service.

If this sounds at all like your experience and you happen to have stumbled upon Happy Tails Travel by accident, you can stop looking, you have found your answer!

These wonderful people managed to get my feline friends safely across country with only 6 days notice. If this will be your first time having a pet travel by air (accompanied or unaccompanied) you will soon come to realize how amazing a feat that is.

I was contacted every day for the following week by staff, making sure I had the right size crate for my pets, providing helpful hints to make the travel less stressful for them, and they handled every travel detail.

The day before the flight I was called personally to make sure I had all the travel documents necessary and had a personal cell phone number to call (for a 5 AM flight!) if there was any complications. Then the day after the flight I was called again just to make sure everything was alright.

As I stood waiting in line the morning of the flight to drop off my pets the two people in front of me were both sent away without being able to drop their animals off at the Cargo Terminal. One had a crate too small and one didn't have the right documents. My anxiety skyrocketed as I thought of all that could go wrong with the grumpy airline agent. I showed him my Happy Tails travel packet, the AirWay Voucher for flight, signed my name in two spots and my cats were airborne. Relief.

They take customer service seriously here and they know there job well. I have never taken the time to praise a company via letter. I am so grateful for the experience, they care for my animals almost as much as I do.

For what can be a tedious and complicated process of moving your dog to Japan, Jenna and Happy Tails Travel made it effortless. All importation
requirements were met and there was no delay at Narita with the Animal
