Happy Tails Travel has assisted with many long distance adoptions. With this option, the adopter does not need to take time off of work and travel to get their new four footed family member.
What is involved with Long Distance Pet Adoption?
- A tight time frame
- Coordination with the shelter for payment and release
- Arranging veterinary services
- Obtaining the proper size & brand of crate, including the bowls & bedding
- Research & reservation of the pet flight
- Preparing pet for the day of the flight
- Transporting & checking the pet to the airport
