Fall Season

We love helping pets have a smooth move and want to help you too!

At this time, generic e-mail inquiries and replies to Pet Travel Form submissions are taking about 2 business days from the time they are received. Priority goes to existing clients and those traveling the soonest.

In order to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, and give our full attention to each client, we require at least 10 business days to accommodate domestic ground transport, and at least 15 business days to accommodate domestic air travel, from the date a signed contract is received.

We regret to inform you that all international services are currently suspended.

If you are interested in working with us, the quickest way to receive a response is to fill out our Pet Travel Form.  It will provide us with the additional details we need to see how we can best assist you.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to working with you!

Transporting Puppies and Kittens from Breeders

By: Bridget Monrad, R.N. | Apr 16, 2021

Have you fallen in love with a puppy or kitten online? Are you seeking a special breed?  Did you find a puppy or kitten from a breeder, but he or she is far away in another state? Did the breeder say you need to make arrangements for the move of your adopted pet but you don’t know how to? Did you try to get a pet flight, but cannot seem to find any flights that will take your new best friend to you?

Happy Tails Travel can help with all these different challenges that may come up in getting your new puppy or kitten to you.  This includes the transport of full specialty breeds such as a Labrador, Golden Retriever, Dachshund, Goldendoodle, Border Collie, Pit Bull Terrier, Mastiff, French Bulldog, Boston Terrier, English Bulldog, Dogo Argentino or Poodle for dogs, and Bengal, Maine Coon, Persian or Ragdoll for cats.

The airlines in recent years have had an incredible change in policies for pet acceptance on their aircrafts. Many breeds, whether they be large, snub nose, or labeled as “aggressive”, are restricted from flying, even as new puppies and kittens! In these cases, many people are left wondering how to get their new puppy or kitten home to them.

Additionally, there are temperature restrictions where it cannot be over 85 degrees Fahrenheit at any city on your pet’s itinerary for them to fly. As of most recent, Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) are no longer required to be accommodated in the main cabin with a traveling passenger. Except for trained service dogs, no pet can travel in the main cabin unless they can fit under the seat in front of you; this is usually only big enough for cats or small pet breeds.  Furthermore, many breeders do not wish for their puppies or kittens to travel as live animal manifested cargo.

That is why having an alternative such as Happy Tails Travel’s By Ground Safe & Sound service is a great way for us to do a private door to door transport of your new puppy or kitten from their current home at the breeder, or wherever they are living, to their new Home Sweet Home with you! There are fewer moving pieces, 24/7 private care, and frequent communication from the driver throughout the journey.  Another key benefit for puppies and kittens who may not be fully vaccinated yet, is that there is not exposure to other pets. Happy Tails Travel also offers a pet family rate and military discount.

Our service goes above & beyond any service available, with an excellent reputation of 26 years in business along with positive reviews from clients throughout the years. Our team is dedicated to working with you and the breeder to get your new family member home safely.
